This year the participants groups are:

Type of Competitions 

COMPETITION NUM. 1

Mixed choirs of up to 40 voices. 

a) "MARÇ I" - Cristòfol Taltabull (1888 - 1964). Ed. Boileau nº 2311 [c/ Provença 285, Barcelona].
b) A free choice composition (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without instrumental accompaniement, from a composer born before twentieth century. 
c) A 20th century original composition by a composer of the competing choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 

1st prize, 1000 € ; 2nd prize, 500 € ; 3rd. prize 250 € . 
 
 

COMPETITION NUM. 2 

Children's choirs of up to 40 voices. 
Under 16 years of age on the day of the competition 

a) "TRES MORILLAS ME ENAMORAN" - Diego Fernández, s XVI / J.B. Lambert, Ed. FIMC 2004, Barcelona.
b) A free choice  composition (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without instrumental accompaniement, from a composer born before twentieth century. 
c) A 20th century original composition by a composer of the competing choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 

COMPETITION NUM. 3 

Female choirs of up to 36 voices. 

a) "QUANT LE JOLI ROBINET", de Adrian Willaert (1485 - 1562). London Pro Musica Edition / LPM AR5. 
b) A free choice  composition (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without instrumental accompaniement, from a composer born before twentieth century. 
c) A 20th century original composition by a composer of the competing choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 

The total duration of the works chosen, (b+c), together, can not exceed 10 minutes. 

1st prize, 800 € ; 2nd prize, 400 € ; 3rd. prize 200 € .   

COMPETITION NUM. 4 

Mixed, male, female or children's choirs of up to 40 voices. 

Two  works chosen  from the folklore of the country of the participating choir.

The total duration of the works chosen, together, can not  exceed 8 minutes. 

1st prize, 500 € ; 2nd prize, 250 € ; 3rd. prize 150 € . 
 
 

COMPETITION NUM. 5 

Dance groups of up to  35 members, including the musicians. Performing live music will be valuated.

Two traditional folklore dances of the country of the participating choir.

The total duration of the dances chosen, together, can not exceed 10 minutes. 

1st prize, 500 € ; 2nd prize, 250 € ; 3rd. prize 150 €.  

Children's dance groups will compite besides adult groups. Will be awarded separatelly whith others prizes.

• When the first classified groups score the same number of points, the prizes in cash will be divided proportionally and the trophie will be given to all those who share the first place. 

• The decision of the Executive Commitee and the adjudicators will be final. This is an essential condition for participating in theFestival. Any claim should be sent in writing to the Musical Director of the Festival before the competition has ended.
