Participants 

Are invited groups from around the world, ready to meet the rules and live the spirit of the Festival. The groups must reach the artistic level and training required.

This year is expected to participate in the following groups:

Type of Competitions 

COMPETITION NUM. 1

Mixed choirs of up to 40 voices. 

1st- One obligatory work: «VENI» - Knut Nystedt (1915-2002). Editorial: Norsk Musikforlag - Oslo.

2nd- Three chosen works:

• One original composition before 20th century, (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without piano accompaniement.. 
• An original composition after 19th century by a composer of the choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 
• A free work of any epoch with intrumental accompaniment or not.

The total duration of the works chosen, together, can not exceed 15 minutes.

1st prize, 1800 € ; 2nd prize, 1200 € ; 3rd. prize 600 € . 
 
 

COMPETITION NUM. 2 

Children's choirs of up to 40 voices.  Under 16 years of age on the day of the competition 

1st- One obligatory work: «EL CAVALLER ENAMORAT» - Joan Manen (1873-1971). Edition: Festival- Barcelona.

2nd- Two chosen works:

• An original composition before 20th century, (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without piano accompaniement. 
• An original composition after 19th century by a composer of the choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 

1st prize, 800€ ; 2nd prize, 500€ ; 3rd. prize 300 € .  
 
 

COMPETITION NUM. 3 

Female choirs up to 36 voices. 

1st- One obligatory work: «LAUDI ALLA VERGINE MARIA» - Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901). Edició: Peters(10981).

2nd- Three chosen works:. 

• One original compositions before 20th century, (not an arrangement), sung in any language, with or without piano accompaniement. 
• An original composition after 19th century by a composer of the choir's own country, without instrumental accompaniment. 
• A free work of any epoch with intrumental accompaniment or not.

The total duration of the works chosen, together, can not exceed 15 minutes.

1st prize, 1200 € ; 2nd prize, 800 € ; 3rd prize 400 € .   

COMPETITION NUM. 4 

Mixed, male, female or children's choirs up to 40 voices. 

Three  works chosen  from the folklore of the country of the participating choir.

The total duration of the works chosen, together, can not  exceed 12 minutes. 

To take part in this competition, the group must take part in any other of the competitions.

1st prize, 600 € ; 2nd prize, 400 € ; 3rd. prize 200 € .
 
 

COMPETITION NUM. 5 

Dance groups  up to  35 members, including the musicians. Performing live music will be valuated.

Two traditional folklore dances of the country of the participating choir.

The total duration of the dances chosen, together, can not exceed 12 minutes. 

1st prize, 600 € ; 2nd prize, 400 € ; 3rd. prize 200 €. 

Children's dance groups will compite besides adult groups. Will be awarded separatelly whith others prizes.

Sunday, 21 July

13.00 h  International Children's Concert. 

Participation of the International Choral and Dance childrens groups. 

After the concert will be offer prices of the competition 2.

18.00 h  International Concert & Ending of the festival. 

Participation of the International Choral and Dance groups. 

Clausure ceremony of the 31th Festival, sing of the Festival Hymn whith singers and public.

5th Photo Contest

Basis:

1. Everyone can participate.
2. Pictures must be taken at the 31th International Music Festival of Cantonigròs, 2013.
3. Photo topic can be anyone related to the FIMC 2013.
4. Photos can be taken with any kind of camera, digital, mobile or analogical.
5. JPG format, 1.024 pixels (36’12cm) long for horizontal format or 768 pixels (27’03cm) for vertical format.
Colour space must be RGB. Black & White or colour, with or without Photoshop.
6. Photos can only be submitted via e-mail to cantonigrosfestival@gmail.com, e-mail message must show participant’s name, mail address, e-mail address, city, country and photo’s title.
7. Maximum 10 photos per participant.
8. Free registration.
9. Awards: 1st prize and 10 accésits. Each participant can qualify for an award only.
10. Next year FIMC will organize an exhibition with the winners and the finalist photos.
11. Prizes will be publicly awarded at the 32th FIMC.
12. The contest jury will be the FIMC’s President and relevant personalities of the journalism, culture, music and photography worlds. Jury’s decision will be unappealable.
13. Each participant will receive a notification of the results, which can also be checked at the FIMC website.
14. By registering in the contest participants recognize the photos’ ownership but authorize FIMC to reproduce their photos in full or partially, without limitations of systems, media or countries. Participants are held as fully responsible for any claims coming from any third party related to image rights or other intellectual property.
15. Registering in the contest implies accepting the contest basis. Any unforeseen issue will be resolved by the Jury.
16. Deadline for submitting pictures is August 31st, 2013.
